Frequently asked questions
The things people ask us on the first call, answered up front.
A straightforward marketing site is usually three to four weeks from the day we agree the scope. Add the systems work and it is typically five to eight, because the wiring gets tested with real submissions before launch rather than after. The slowest part is almost always waiting on content and logins from your side, so we tell you up front exactly what we need and when.
It depends on how many pages there are, how much of the content we are writing, and whether anything has to talk to your other tools. Most small business sites land in the low thousands. You get a fixed number after the free review, before anything is built, and it does not move unless you ask for something that was not in the scope.
Yes, all of it. The domain, the hosting, the CMS, the code, and every third-party account are set up in your name from the start. Nothing is held on our licence, there is no proprietary builder you have to keep paying us for, and if you leave you take everything as it is.
Custom, written by hand, every time. We would rather say that plainly than claim to be platform-agnostic. The trade-off runs both ways and you should know it before you decide. A custom site is faster, has no monthly queue of plugin updates, and cannot be broken by two add-ons disagreeing with each other. It also means you are not handing it to whichever freelancer happens to know a particular page builder. What you get instead is the code, in your name, in a framework any competent developer can pick up. And if what you actually want is a five-page brochure you will edit yourself and then never think about again, a template on Squarespace is a sensible thing to buy, and you do not need us for it.
Everything that happens after someone gets in touch. Where the enquiry lands, who gets told, whether it is scored or sorted, what replies automatically, how a time gets booked, how the quote and invoice get produced, who chases the payment, and what you can see on one screen at the end of the month. If a person is currently retyping something from one tab into another, that is the sort of thing we remove.
Usually, and that is normally the cheaper answer. Most businesses already own a CRM, a calendar, and an accounting package that are doing a fraction of what they could. We would rather connect and configure those properly than sell you a replacement. If something genuinely cannot do the job we will say so and explain what we would move you to.
Yes. Plenty of the work we take on is one piece: a landing page, a booking flow, a CRM migration, or getting tracking to report honestly. There is no requirement to start with a full rebuild, and if the review finds you only need a few hours of work we will tell you that rather than scope a project around it.
You get a video walkthrough, written notes on how the pieces fit together, and everything in your own accounts. Monthly care covering updates, backups, uptime, and small changes is available and is entirely optional, month to month. Choosing not to take it does not leave you with something you cannot run.
Not sure what your site and systems are costing you?
Send us your site and a short description of what happens after someone enquires. You get a recorded walkthrough of what we find and a one-page summary of what we would change, whether or not you decide to work with us.
No obligation. You keep the review either way.
