Website review

Your live site. Nothing to install and no access needed.

What we look at

  • How long the first screen takes to appear on a mid-range phone on 4G
  • Whether the page says what you do, for whom, and where, above the fold
  • How many taps it takes to enquire, and how much typing that asks for
  • Navigation and page structure: what a first-time visitor cannot find
  • Forms: what breaks, what gets abandoned, and what nobody needs to be asked
  • Whether anything is actually being measured, and whether the numbers agree

Systems review

A short walkthrough of what happens after someone gets in touch.

What we look at

  • Where an enquiry lands, and how long it sits there before a human sees it
  • What gets retyped from one tool into another, and how often it goes wrong
  • Whether anyone follows up a second time, and what happens when nobody does
  • Booking: how much back-and-forth it takes to agree a time
  • Quotes, invoices, and chasing: what is manual that does not need to be
  • Which tools you already pay for that could be doing more than they are

A recorded walkthrough

Fifteen to twenty minutes of us going through it, saying what we see. Yours to keep and to share with anyone else deciding.

The three things we would change first, in priority order, with the reasoning for each.

Turnaround in about 3 days

We only take on a few of these a week, so you get a considered answer rather than a template.

One thing worth saying up front. Sometimes the review finds that the site is fine and only needs a few hours of work, that you are too early to justify automating anything, or that the tool you already pay for does the job if somebody just sets it up. We will tell you that. It costs us a project and saves you a few thousand dollars, which seems like the right trade.

The code, the domain, the hosting, the accounts. Everything is set up in your name, and if we part ways nothing has to be rebuilt or bought back from us.

Fixed before we start

You get a scope and a number after the free review, not an hourly rate and a shrug. If the scope changes, we tell you what it costs before we do it.

The handover

You can run it without us

Editable pages, a written record of how the systems fit together, and a walkthrough on video. Ongoing care is something you choose, not something you are stuck with.
